Affan Syed

Dr. Affan Syed is Assistant Professor in FAST NUCES Islamabad Campus.He is Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Information Sciences Institute (ISI).He is affiliated with the ISI Laboratory for Embedded Networked Sensor Experimentation (I-LENSE) Lab. His Areas of interest are to develop an energy-transference architecture for wireless sensor networks, underwater sensor networks, network time-synchronization, high-latency medium access control design, and industrial wireless-mesh networking.


Initiated to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, USA's oldest and most selective all-discipline society honoring academic excellence. I was one of only 32 university-wide (3,000+) PhD students invited representing the computer science department at USC
Recipient of the TROSS scholarship award from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST)
Member IEEE and ACM
