Shaheen Atiq-ur-Rehman

Shaheen Atiq-ur-Rehman is a social worker and politician. She was born in April 1948 at Sialkot.
She obtained the degree of M.A (Administrative Sciences) in 1971 and that of LL.B. in 1975 from University of the Punjab, Lahore.
She also remained  Member, Punjab Assembly during 1985-88 and also functioned as Minister for Social Welfare & Women’s Development during 1985-87. She has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second term in General Elections 2002 against one of the seats reserved for women.
Shaeen atiq ur Rehman was awarded Communes Medal in 1998, by UNESCO in Paris for getting international recognition for her work in literacy.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was born in Gujrat, Pakistan on November 1st, 1945. He hails from a very prominent and influential political and business family of Pakistan. His father Chaudhry Manzoor Elahi was the brother of Late Ch. Zahoor Elahi, a seasoned parliamentarian who played a major role in restoration of democracy and human rights in the country and was awarded "PRISIONER OF CONSCIENC" by Amnesty International. He was assassinated in a terrorist attack on 25th September, 1981. Ch. Parvez Elahi is the first cousin of Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, President Pakistan Muslim League and former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi graduated from the Forman Christian College, Lahore in 1967, and obtained diploma in Industrial Management from London. After completion his education, he joined the family business in textiles. Now the family owns textiles, sugar and flour mills. He came into active politics in 1983.

He was elected as Chairman District Council, Gujrat for four (4) consecutive years. In 1985 he got elected unopposed as Member of Provincial Assembly of Punjab. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi became Minister for Local Government and Rural Development for a period of eight years. In 1993 he was elected Deputy Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly and also acted as Leader of the Opposition. He was elected unopposed Speaker of Provincial Assembly of Punjab in 1997. He is the elected President of Pakistan Muslim League, Punjab. In Election 2002 he was elected Member of the Punjab Assembly 6th consecutive time. He has been the elected Chief Minister of the Punjab and completed 5 years for the first time in the history of Pakistan. In election-2008, he elected as Member National Assembly of Pakistan and nominated as Leader of Opposition in National Assembly later. Then he resigned from the Opposition Leader seat, he is Leader of the Parliamentary Party, Pakistan Muslim League in the National Assembly and now serving the country as Senior Federal Minister of Industries and Defence Production.

Manzoor Hussain Wasan

Manzoor Hussain Wasan was born on July 7, 1957, in Village Haji Nawab Wasan, Khairpur, Sindh. He is politically affiliated with the PPPP and was elected MPA Sindh on four occasions, from 1988 to 1990, 1990 to 1993, 1993 to 1996 and 1997 to 1999.
Manzoor Hussain Wasan graduated with an LL.B from the University of Sindh in 1975. He has travelled to the U.S.A, U.K, Europe, Canada, Middle East, Australia and Argentina. He is married with a son and three daughters. His hobbies include swimming and badminton.

Aneela Akhtar Chaudhry

Miss Aneela Akhtar Chaudhry daughter of Mr Muhammad Akhtar Ali obtained the degree of LL.B. in 2004 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. She served as Member, District Assembly, Kasur during 2005 and has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for women.

Shazia Tehmas

Ms. Shazia Tehmas Khan was born on January 01, 1974 at Peshawar. She has a master’s in journalism from University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Representing Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians in the Provincial Assembly of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ms Khan serves as the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Population Welfare Department, a member of the Standing Committee on Excise and Taxation Department, and a member of the Standing Committee on Tribal Affairs Department.
