Omar Shahid Hamid

Omar Shahid Hamid has served as a police officer for two decades. As a member of the Sindh Police’s Counter Terrorism department, he has faced numerous challenges, including surviving an ambush by gangsters, being falsely implicated by colleagues, and narrowly escaping a bombing of his office by the Pakistani Taliban while serving as CID chief.

Following the 2011 attack on his office by the Pakistani Taliban, he took a five-year sabbatical to focus on writing and worked as a political risk consultant. In 2016, he resumed his role as a Counter Terrorism Officer. His insights and experiences have been widely quoted in major international publications, including The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Times, Le Monde, Reuters, CNN, and BBC.

His literary career began with The Prisoner (2013), which was longlisted for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature 2015 and is now being adapted into a feature film. His second novel, The Spinner’s Tale (2015), won the 2016 Karachi Literature Festival Prize. He received the same award again in 2018 for his third novel, The Party Worker (2017), which is currently being adapted for a TV series. His fourth novel, The Fix, delves into the intricate world of cricket match-fixing. Betrayal marks his fifth novel.

Yaseen Anwar

Mr. Yaseen Anwar was appointed Governor, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), by the President of Pakistan, on 19th Oct 2011. Mr. Anwar is the 17th Governor of SBP since its inception in July, 1948.

Prior to his appointment as Governor SBP, Mr. Anwar was appointed Acting Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan on July 18th, 2011 in which capacity he also served from June 3rd, 2010 until September 8th, 2010. Mr. Anwar served the State Bank as its Deputy Governor since  March 29th, 2007 and managed all the four clusters of the Central Bank i.e. Banking, Reserve Management, Monetary Policy and Operations; SBP subsidiaries - Banking Services Corporation (BSC) and the National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF).

Mr. Anwar has served on the Boards of SBP, Pakistan Security Printing Corp. (PSPC), Policy Board of SECP, Board of NIBAF and SAARC Payments Council Board. He is Chairman of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of SBP Central Board and has interacted with the IMF under the Standby Arrangement with Pakistan. He is also the Governor on the Asian Clearing Union (ACU) Board.

As a senior global banker, Mr. Anwar brought 33 years of international banking experience to SBP. During that period he worked at major international financial centers that included New York, London, and Paris with JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Merrill Lynch. As a result of this international exposure, he developed a deep understanding of corporate business relationships in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East as well as a broad range of hands-on experience in managing rapidly growing business units of renowned global financial institutions with detailed knowledge and oversight of the Regulatory Environment, Capital Markets, Operations, Payments, Export Finance, Investment Management and Credit related matters. As a Non-Executive Director on the Board of United National Bank Ltd. (U.K.) for six years (2000-2006), he developed strong expertise in the U.K. financial services regulatory framework on corporate governance as well as senior level ties with the U.K. Financial Services Authority and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Mr. Anwar was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co. for nine years in New York/London from 1992 to 2001 where he honed his skills in Capital Markets and Alternative Investments. Before Merrill Lynch, he spent 15 years at Bank of America from 1976 to 1991 in various responsible capacities that included Vice President & Section Head for its Global Export Finance Group and the Middle East in New York. As head of Bank of America’s Export Finance Group, he was the key relationship manager for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Export Import Bank, USAID and USDA.

He was trained at JP Morgan Chase, New York during 1973-1975 after completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a dual degree of BA in Political Science as well. His early education included attending Aitcheson College (Lahore), Grammar School (Karachi) and Karachi American School.

Mr. Anwar was the founder and President of the Pakistan Bankers Association, U.K. from 1997 to 1999. He was also a member of the Arab Bankers Association, U.K. In New York, he had served as an Executive Director on the American Turkish Society, Director on the US-Pakistan Economic Council, Director on the American Middle East Business Association and Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Masood Khalid

Mr. Masood Khalid was appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan to the Peoples Republic of China in December 2012 . Born on 30 December 1955 and is married. Mr. Masood Khalid, an official of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has served in Islamabad and abroad for about 33 years. Over the years, he has acquired expertise in various facets of Pakistan's foreign policy, including multilateral diplomacy and social development, as well as Pakistan's relations with China, South Asia and the United States.

       From August 2010 to December 2012,  served as High Commissioner for Pakistan to Malaysia. From June 2007 – August 2010, Served as Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific) at Headquarters Islamabad . He has also served as Ambassador of Pakistan to the Republic of Korea (2005-2007). Held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad; Seoul (1984-1988), London (1992-1995), Tashkent (1996-1998) and New York (2001-2005). Salman Faruqui

Mr. Salman Faruqui, NI has rendered exemplary service to the people of Pakistan through his nearly 50 years dedicated public service and major initiatives in the fields of human rights and economic development.

Mr. Faruqui, has taken oath as Wafaqi Mohtasib (Ombudsman) of Pakistan on 11th December, 2012. He is also serving as Secretary General to the President (with the status of Federal Minister) and has earlier served as Deputy Chairman Planning Commission of Pakistan, Ambassador-at-Large in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Secretary General to the Government of Pakistan (elevated in 1993). He headed various Ministries in the Federal Government, including Ministry of Communications (including present Ministries of Ports & Shipping, Information Technology and Telecommunication and Postal Services), Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Water and Power and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Ministry of Commerce (including the present Ministry of Textile). He also headed Special Education and Social Welfare Division and served in the Ministry of Industries.

Mr. Faruqui served as Secretary to Prime Minister Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto, and as Additional Secretary to Prime Minister Muhammad Khan Junejo.

Mr. Faruqui served as Secretary to the Provincial Government for more than a decade, and also headed (as Chairman or/and Chief Executive Officer) several public enterprises including as the first Chairman/CEO of Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation Ltd., National Highways Authority, Pakistan Postal Services Corporation and Sindh Sugar Corporation, and as the first Director General of Special Education and Chairman of the Trust for the Disabled. He also served as Chairman of NESPAK, National Power Construction Corporation, PEPAC etc. He was one of the founders of Private Power and Infrastructure Board and Pakistan Software Export Board.

Mr. Faruqui revolutionized telecommunication sector and introduced optic fiber, digital phones (through highly acclaimed BLT system) and mobile phones in Pakistan. He also initiated international direct dialing for all telephone subscribers. He initiated Peshawar to Karachi Indus Highway and implemented dualization of large sections of GT Road (N-5) and the first ever Motorway in Pakistan (M-2). In the Water & Power Sector, he initiated Ghazi Brotha project (the first hydel project after Tarbela Dam) and also implemented the renowned 1994 IPP policy which for the first time introduced private sector in power sector and eliminated outrages throughout Pakistan. In the field of Human Rights, Mr. Faruqui started scores of Model Special Education Centres throughout the country for all disabilities. He successfully implemented ban on human plied cycle rickshaws throughout the country. He also launched the experimental green channel system at Karachi Airport and initiated schemes of Dry Ports and Export Processing Zones. Mr. Faruqui also completed mini Port at Gwadar and initiated scheme for deep seaport project there. He introduced private sector in the Ports and Shipping sectors and added Terminals for Container Traffic at both the Ports in Karachi and initiated and completed exclusive Oil and Export Terminals. In the field of Economic Development, he was a key member of the government?s economic teams for a decade during which he contributed substantially towards sustainable economic development.

Mr. Faruqui has a law degree and a postgraduate degree in Political Science and International Relations. He also has a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. He is member of Board of Governor, International Islamic University, Islamabad. He is also Member of the Syndicate Sindh Madressatul Islam University. He is a member of the Syndicate of Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, and earlier served as a member of the University of Karachi Syndicate. 

The Government of Pakistan has conferred the highest award of Nishan-i-Imtiaz for Mr. Faruquis lifelong dedication and selfless devotion in Public Service.

Aftab Anwar Baloch

Mr. Aftab Anwar Baloch an officer of Pakistan Customs Service belongs to Seventh Common Training Programme.  He joined service of Government of Pakistan during  1980 and possesses 32 years of rich experience both in formulation and implementation of fiscal policy relating to levy  charge and collection of Federal Taxes i.e. Customs Duty, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty etc.

He belongs to Sindh Province and has served on various positions throughout Pakistan under the  Federal Board of Revenue.  He has also served as Minister (Trade) in the Embassy of Pakistan, Moscow (Russian Federation) during 2005 to 2008 with accreditation to Belarus.

He has extensively travelled abroad and has been instrumental  in the compilation of WHO Technical Manual on Tobacco Tax Administration published by World Health Organization and has attended various meetings/seminars  in Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, America on Tobacco Taxation and FCTC besides attending Seminar on Revised Kyoto Convention in Maldives under World Custom  Organization and  Course on Tax Administration in USA.

He also possesses research experience in introduction of Sales Tax under  VAT Mode and Tobacco Taxation  Joint Research Study Project under  FBR-WHO Collaboration.

At present he is working as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Finance looking after Internal Finance and Investment Wing.

Ikram Sehgal

Ikram Sehgal completed Senior Cambridge and FSc from Lawrence College, Ghoragali. He attended Murari Chand (MC) College, Sylhet and Notre Dame College, Dhaka before graduating from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul. 

Commissioned into 2E Bengal (Junior Tigers) in Oct 1965, the infantry unit his father raised in 1949, he served in Army Aviation (fixed wing and Helicopter Pilot) from 1968 to 1971. Taken PW in April 1971, in then East Pakistan, he was the first Pakistani PW to escape from India in July 1971. Joining 44 Punjab (now 4 Sindh) in Nov 1971, he was given battlefield promotion to the rank of Major on Dec 13, 1971, leaving the Army on Jan 24, 1974. 

He worked as a commercial pilot before starting his own business in 1977. A regular columnist in the print media since 1987, he graduated to his own TV Talk Show. Member of international organizations like the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF), International Organization for Migration (IOM), etc. Ikram Sehgal is presently Chairman Pathfinder G4S, Pakistan.

Major General Athar Abbas

Major General Athar Abbas is a two-star general and the current military spokesperson for the Pakistan Defence Forces who replaced Major General Waheed Arshad as the new Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) on January 14, 2008.

General Abbas was commissioned in October 1976 in the 54th PMA Long Course from the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul into the Armoured Corps. He has held various command, staff and instructional appointments that include command of an armoured regiment, armoured brigade and armoured division. He has been General Staff Officer (Operations) in various armoured formations. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and Armed Forces Staff College, Malaysia.

He is a participant of the Executive Course at Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies, Hawaii, USA. He has attended Armed Forces War Course and National Defence Course at the National Defence College, Islamabad. He has been on the faculty of Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defence College, Islamabad. He holds a Masters Degrees in War Studies as well as Strategic Studies from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He was promoted to Major General in June 2005 and has commanded an armoured division in Kharian from June 2005 to June 2007

Before joining Inter Services Public Relations Directorate, General Abbas was serving as Director General Quartering and Lands in Quartermaster General’s Branch, General Headquarters. After he was appointed as the DG ISPR, Major General Mohammad Farooq replaced him at his previous position.

Javed Anwar Khan

Mr. Javed Anwar Khan is currently serving as Secretary in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). He is a BS 21 officer of Secretariat Group and has vast experience of dynamics of international trade; 

supply chain issues; international & local marketing & branding of Pakistani products; issues arising out of World Trade Organization, and Intellectual Properties etc.

He has remained a pivot in the promotion of exports and enhancing the trade ties of Pakistan while putting more than 31 years of service in the offices of Chief Controller of Imports and Exports and Export Promotion Bureau.

Mr. Javed Anwar Khan was also the Member of Fish Inspection Committee for the approval of Fish Processing Units for export from Pakistan to International Markets. He successfully coordinated with Marine Fisheries Department and Karachi Fish Harbour Authority for implementation of Turtle Excluder Device Regulation of USA for conservation of sea turtles, and removal of ban on seafood for export from Pakistan to European Union 

His highly successful tenure in Export Promotion Bureau / Trade Development Authority of Pakistan saw the inception of Expo Pakistan in 2005 and subsequent management upto 6th edition of the this mega event. 

Mr. Javed Anwar holds Masters Degree in Zoology with specialization in Fisheries. He has attended numerous training courses / seminars and workshops on international trade & commerce.

Salim Abbas Jilani

A Masters in Public Administration from the prestigious JFK School of Government, Harvard University, USA, Mr. Jilani joined Civil Service of Pakistan in 1957. He has the singular distinction of having held the most coveted positions in Pakistan including Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority, Fauji Foundation, Pakistan Steel, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation, Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan, Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), Chief Secretary of Sindh and Balochistan and Federal Minister for Defence and Defence Production, Government of Pakistan. 

His last posting before assuming the chairmanship of SSGC was as Secretary, Defence, Government of Pakistan which he held for seven years. W idely respected in political, business, agricultural, military and bureaucratic circles all over Pakistan, Mr. Jilani hails from Muzaffargarh district of Punjab. 

He is also Master in Political Science from the Punjab University, Lahore having graduated cum laude from there. Mr. Jilani retired from public service in November 1996 after an unblemished marathon career.

Dr Samar Mubarakmand

Dr Samar Mubarakmand was Born on September 17, 1942 at Rawalpindi. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand did his Master in Physics from the prestigious Government College Lahore in 1962 with Academic Roll of Honour. To fulfill his ambition to become an experimental Nuclear Physicist he chose the world renowned Oxford University under the supervision of a very well known Nuclear Physicist Professor D.H.Wilkinson. After joining P.A.E.C in 1962 proceeded to Oxford University where he performed as Member of the Team of Scientists which installed and commissioned the 22 millions volt Atomic Accelerator and was awarded D.Phil Degree in Experimental Nuclear Physics in 1966.  As a pioneer, used fiber optic technology in Pakistan and introduced the technique of interference free data transmission through optical fibers. In recognition of valuable contributions in the field of Nuclear Physics, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the prestigious civil award of Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1992.  As Member (Technical) P.A.E.C & Team Leader of Scientists/Engineers conducted Nuclear Tests for Pakistan. All the six tests were successfully conducted on 28th & 30th May, 1998. In recognition of valuable contributions to the Defense of Pakistan, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the prestigious civil award of Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 1998.  Performed as Team Leader and played a key role in the conception, design and execution of the indigenous programme of surface to surface, solid fuel, SHAHEEN Missile system. The first successful flight-test of Shaheen-I was carried out in 1999. In recognition of the outstanding contribution to the Strategic Defence Programme, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the highest civil award of Nishan-i-Imtitz in 2003. In recognition of his meritorious & dedicated services, outstanding contribution in the field of Nuclear Physics, Strategic Defense Programme, and making the defense of motherland strong & invincible Dr. Samar Mubarakmand was also awarded   Dr. Nazir Ahmed Award, Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and International Scientist of the Year 2007.   Dr. Samar Mubarakmand served as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Science & Technology(from December 2007 to April 2008).   Dr. Samar Mubarakmand joined Planning Commission, Govt. of Pakistan as Member (Science & Technology), Islamabad on 16-12-2008.

Ali Raza Bhutta

Mr. Ali Raza Bhutta Chairman & Chief Executive of Pak Datacom Ltd. with a Degree of M. Phil (Economic Development) from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom and Masters in Business Administration degree from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. Mumtaz Haider Rizvi

Mr.Mumtaz Haider Rizvi a BS-21 officer, is the Member Customs in the FBR Headquarters.

Mr. Rizvi, a senior officer of Pakistan Customs Group has previously served in various key positions serving across the country in his illustrious career spanning over 34 years.

Mansur-Ur-Rehman Khan

Mr. Mansur-Ur-Rehman Khan has been appointed as Banking Ombudsman by the President of Pakistan. Previously he was serving as Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan supervising the Corporate Services & Research Clusters of the Bank comprising of Human Resources, Business Support Services, Information Systems & Technology, Finance, Payment Systems, Training & Development, Treasury Operations, Museum & Art Gallery Departments and Economic Advisor’s Office.

He has over 40 years experience in different positions in the State Bank. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Governor he was Executive Director (Banking) and supervised the work of Banking Policy, Banking Inspection, and Banking Supervision Departments.

His responsibilities included, inter-alia, formulation of Prudential Regulations on Know-Your Customers and other areas of Anti Money Laundering, setting up of Financial Monitoring Unit for collection, analysis and processing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) coordination with investigation agencies, liaising with APG Sectt. and other international groups on AML, and coordination with banks on AML related issues and dealing with complaints of individuals against banks prior to creation of Office of Banking Ombudsman. Besides he served as Director on the Board of House Building Finance Corporation, Small Business Finance Corporation, Pak-Kuwait Investment Company, Member, Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) Council, Member, Policy Board of Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Member on the Board of Pakistan Security Printing Corporation and Member on the Board of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.

He has acted as Chairman of the Committee for developing Model Contracts for Islamic modes of financing in the country. He also served as Secretary to Banking Laws Review Commission.

His overseas assignments include Member, Technical Committee of Islamic Financial Services Board, Chairman Supervisory Review Process Working Group and Deputy Chairman of the Risk Management Working Group of the Islamic Financial Services Board, Malaysia and Member, SAARC Payments Council. Muhammad Ali

Mr. Muhammad Ali was appointed Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on December 24, 2010. He has an extensive and diversified corporate and financial markets experience spread over 20 years.

An MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Karachi, Mr. Ali is a well-known professional and entrepreneur. He started his career with Citibank and moved on to Smith New Court Securities in London. In 1994, Mr. Ali finalized a joint venture with Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities (Asian brokerage arm of Credit Agricole Indosuez) and led Indosuez W. I. Carr Securities, Pakistan for six years. During his tenure as CEO, the company became one of the largest and the best rated brokerage houses in Pakistan, attracting one of the highest levels of foreign portfolio investment in the country’s equity markets amongst all market intermediaries. Mr. Ali also led the expansion of W.I. Carr’s business activities to Bangladesh and finalized group’s strategy for Middle East and North African markets.

Mr. Ali then changed his focus to private equity investments and setting up of new businesses. He has been the driving force behind the creation and success of various companies in Pakistan, Middle East and North America in financial, real estate development, information technology and digital content management sectors. Mr. Ali was responsible for idea generation, planning, funding and setting up of these businesses.

Mr. Ali has also served as a Director on the Boards of reputable companies like Engro Corporation Limited, Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited, Dawood Bank Limited, etc.

Rahat Kaunain Hassan

Ms. Rahat Kaunain Hassan was appointed Chairperson of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (the ‘Commission’ or ‘CCP’) on July 26th 2010, and has served as Member (Legal and Office of Fair Trading) of the Commission since its founding in November, 2007. She received a Master’s degree in law (L.L.M.), from King’s College, London, having concentrated her academic work on the law of international finance and international business transactions. She has been associated with and has been a partner at some of Pakistan’s finest civil and commercial law firms.

In 2001, Ms. Hassan was appointed General Counsel/Executive Director at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Soon after the conclusion of her tenure at SECP, Ms. Hassan established her own law firm which engaged in civil, commercial and regulatory law practice. However, her interest in and commitment to public service resulted in her accepting the nomination as Member of CCP in November, 2007. As Member, she was instrumental in the establishment of the Office of Fair Trading within CCP and has authored numerous position papers, guidelines, policy notes regarding important issues of competition law and policy. Moreover, she has co-authored most of the seminal Orders passed by CCP including those that resulted in breaking the most pernicious cartels.

A working mother of four children, Ms. Hassan has been a high achiever in her field, and in recognition of her commitment to public service received the Women of Achievement Award, 2010. She has also been nominated for the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

Ali Arshad Hakeem

Mr. Ali Arshad Hakeem has a dynamic professional background in both public and private sector organizations of Pakistan as well as abroad, and had joined NADRA as Chairman on August 12, 2008. His versatile experience had brought many value additions and a completely service oriented vision to NADRA. He not only served in Pakistan’s Central Board of Revenue for ten years at Senior Management positions but had also been closely involved with Business Process Outsourcing Operations, Computerization of Land Records and Automation of Customs Process in Pakistan. His special interests include Data Mining for National Security & Poverty Alleviation. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration and Law and believes in an optimistic change through innovation in various Business and economic ventures.

Jalaluddin

Jalaluddin was a lively fast-medium bowler who struck the deck hard and extracted extravagant movement on the most docile of pitches in Karachi and rest of the country. His entry in the international arena was delayed due to injury but he didn’t take long in hitting headlines after wearing the Pakistan cap.

On September 20, 1982, he recorded the first-ever hat-trick in the history of One-day Internationals by dismissing Australia’s trio of Rodney Marsh, Bruce Yardley and Geoff Lawson on successive deliveries on a flat track of Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, to help Pakistan win the game.

He made his Test debut against Australia at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore, in the same winter and returned the impressive match figures of five for 92. He could play only four more Tests in the next two years despite consistent performance in national tournaments. He played his last in 1985-86 and that was the end of his international career rather prematurely. He continued playing for Pakistan Customs until 1988-89.

He returned to the scene with a bang after taking various coaching courses. He established Customs Cricket Academy in 1999 where he groomed youngsters besides fine-tuning first-class cricketers. The 51-year-old Jalaluddin is recognized as the highest qualified coach in the country, having undertaken various assignments.

Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui

Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, having joined the civil service in 1984, has been hailed as one of the most proactive and efficient government officer. To his credit, he has been successful in making his presence felt in a big way while carrying out every single assignment.

One of his greatest attributes has been the liaison with the media. A firm believer in promoting the soft image by letting the positive word spread to all corners, he has remained instrumental in earning goodwill and recognition for the government.

He had graduated as Civil Engineer before qualifying for the civil service where he has allocated to the District Management Group. He did Masters in Development Administration from the University of Birmingham in England.

He served as Assistant Commissioner and Registrar Cooperative Societies, Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation and Karachi Development Authority. He is believed to be the only officer to serve as Deputy Commissioner in three districts of Karachi. He has also served as Director of Protocol, Government of Sindh. Upon the launching of the Devolution Plan in 2001, he was posted as Executive District Officer, Finance and Planning in the City District Government, Karachi.

He served as Additional Secretary to the Government of Sindh in the Education and Literacy Department. He has also worked as Executive District Officer, Works & Services, City District Government, Karachi and was greatly involved in the development of city infrastructure. He then worked as Additional Secretary, Excise & Taxation Department.

On promotion he was posted as Special Secretary Home Department and then Special Secretary Finance Department. Mr. Siddiqui was then assigned the responsibility of Member Land Utilization from where he was posted as Project Director, Karachi Mega City Programme which was executed with the support of the Asian Development Bank. He was Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Department before taking up the present post of Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh.

Shah Zaman Khan

Shah Zaman Khan an officer of the Information Group assumed the charge of Principal Information Officer on his promotion to BS-21 in the Secretariat Group subsequent to the notification issued by the Establishment Division in this regard.

Shah Zaman Khan has served in an important positions at home and Pakistan missions abroad. He has recently returned from New Delhi where he was posted as Minister Press. Previously he served in Dhaka, Bangla Desh and Jeddah as Press Officer.

Shah Zaman Khan worked as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister Secretariat and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Besides a number of other assignments, he also worked as Director General FATA Secretariat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government.
