Professor Dr S Sohail H Naqvi is the current Executive Director of the Commission, and was appointed to the post in September 2004, having previously served as the Member (Human Resource Development and Strategic Planning) of the Commission since its establishment in 2002. He has an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, USA. Previously, from 1995 to 1999, he was Dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Technology, Topi, Pakistan. During his tenure at GIK, the Faculty of Electronics became established as a premier electronics engineering department in South Asia. He was also Assistant/Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, USA, from 1988 to 1995.Tuesday, January 25, 2011
