Amir Haidar Khan Hoti is the grandson of two stalwarts of Freedom Movement and Pakhtun Nationalist Politicians. His maternal grandfather is Khan Abdul Wali Khan and paternal grandfather is Amir Muhammad Khan Hoti, who used to be called “Khan Lala” out of respect and love, a close colleague of Baacha Khan and active participant of Khudai Khidmatgar Movement. He is the son of former federal Minister Azam Khan Hoti and the nephew of present ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan. Haidar Khan Hoti was born in Mardan on 5th February, 1971. He has two sons and one daughter. He did his intermediate from Aitcheson College Lahore and then graduated from Edwards College Peshawar.
Haidar Khan Hoti started his political career in 1990 as ANP’s city organizer of district Mardan. Currently he is a Provincial Deputy Secretary of ANP. He contested election for the first time for Provincial seat from Mardan constituency in October 2002 elections but lost to former MMA’s Deputy Speaker Ikramullah Shahid. In 2008 Elections he contested for PF-23 Mardan and won from his old rivals Ikramullah Shahid and Arshad Ahmed with a big margin of 4500 votes.
He is having fluency in Pushto, Urdu and English language. Being a worker of ANP he has got a prestigious position in the party. He is famous and a renowned personality among the masses.
