Azim Iqbal Siddiqui

Mr Azim Iqbal Siddiqui, Managing Director SSGC, having joined the Sui Southern Gas Company in 1974, Mr. Siddiqui has held diverse portfolios in SSGC and has a distinguished and a prolific career in several management positions. After a stint in the Constructions Department, he was transferred to the Company’s Material Management Department where he worked in managerial capacity for ten years. In the Company’s Human Resources Department where he spent eleven productive years, he eventually rose to the position of Deputy General Manager (Human Resources). He took over as General Manager (Customer Services) in 2001 where he was promoted as Senior General Manager, Customer Services in 2006. As the head of Customer Services Department, Mr. Siddiqui incorporated state-of-the-art technologies into the Company’s systems, and facilitated numerous training programs for the customer services personnel.

Zarmeeneh Rahim


Ms. Zarmeeneh Rahim is a graduate of McGill University (B.A. Joint Honours) and Durham University (L.L.B. Honours). She has extensive and cross jurisdictional experience working for the Canadian Government as a Legal Assistant for Ontario Attorney General's Office as well as United Nations Secretariat, Office of the Legal Counsel, UN HQ (New York City) where she assisted with research and drafting on issues related to the International Tribunals for Yugoslavia, Rwanda and the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
After returning to Pakistan, Ms. Rahim joined Villani & Villani at Karachi where she worked on a wide array of corporate advisory assignments including competition and competition compliance, intellectual property, banking and finance, acquisitions, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, project finance. In 2009, Mr. Rahim joined L'Oreal Pakistan Private Limited as its General Legal Counsel and was responsible for all legal compliance of L'Oreal including advising board and management on local regulations, ensuring adoption of L'Oreal Global Group Norms and also performing corporate secretarial functions in addition to drafting and review of all contracts and agreements with employees, service providers, suppliers, third parties and distributors.
Ms. Rahim is a strong believer in the proliferation of legal research and education and was the editor of the Durham Law Journal. She along with Messrs Syed Bulent Sohail, Kamal K Jabbar and Shaharyar Nashat founded The Counsel, as Pakistan's first corporate law magazine.

Dr Samar Mubarakmand


Dr Samar Mubarakmand was Born on September 17, 1942 at Rawalpindi. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand did his Master in Physics from the prestigious Government College Lahore in 1962 with Academic Roll of Honour. To fulfill his ambition to become an experimental Nuclear Physicist he chose the world renowned Oxford University under the supervision of a very well known Nuclear Physicist Professor D.H.Wilkinson.

After joining P.A.E.C in 1962 proceeded to Oxford University where he performed as Member of the Team of Scientists which installed and commissioned the 22 millions volt Atomic Accelerator and was awarded D.Phil Degree in Experimental Nuclear Physics in 1966. 

As a pioneer, used fiber optic technology in Pakistan and introduced the technique of interference free data transmission through optical fibers. In recognition of valuable contributions in the field of Nuclear Physics, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the prestigious civil award of Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1992. 

As Member (Technical) P.A.E.C & Team Leader of Scientists/Engineers conducted Nuclear Tests for Pakistan. All the six tests were successfully conducted on 28th & 30th May, 1998. In recognition of valuable contributions to the Defense of Pakistan, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the prestigious civil award of Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 1998. 

Performed as Team Leader and played a key role in the conception, design and execution of the indigenous programme of surface to surface, solid fuel, SHAHEEN Missile system. The first successful flight-test of Shaheen-I was carried out in 1999. In recognition of the outstanding contribution to the Strategic Defence Programme, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan awarded the highest civil award of Nishan-i-Imtitz in 2003.

In recognition of his meritorious & dedicated services, outstanding contribution in the field of Nuclear Physics, Strategic Defense Programme, and making the defense of motherland strong & invincible Dr. Samar Mubarakmand was also awarded   Dr. Nazir Ahmed Award, Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and International Scientist of the Year 2007.  

Dr. Samar Mubarakmand served as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Science & Technology(from December 2007 to April 2008).  

Dr. Samar Mubarakmand joined Planning Commission, Govt. of Pakistan as Member (Science & Technology), Islamabad on 16-12-2008.

Ali Raza Bhutta

Mr. Ali Raza Bhutta Chairman & Chief Executive of Pak Datacom Ltd. with a Degree of M. Phil (Economic Development) from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom and Masters in Business Administration degree from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. Mr. Ali Raza Bhutta has wide range experience in public administration and held various important positions throughout his professional career in government departments. Mr. Bhutta started his career as Assistant Political Agent in Fata and has served in all provinces of Pakistan at progressively more responsible positions. Currently, Mr. Ali Raza Bhutta is serving as Joint Secretary (Development) in Ministry of IT & Telecom and also holds additional charge of Member IT (MOIT) and Managing Director Telecom foundation. He is also Chairman Board of Trustees, Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust.

Abrar Hasan


Mr Abrar Hasan has been with National Foods since 1993. During his decade of association with the company he has successfully spearheaded the organization to its present position.
Mr. Hasan has used his proficiency in Operations Management, Marketing and Finance with diligence to make National Foods what it is today and one of the largest and most successfully innovative food industries in Pakistan.
Abrar Hasan graduated with a BS in Industrial Management with a minor in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, USA. In 1990 he returned to Pakistan and joined Precision Rubber Products (Pvt.) Ltd. as Plant Director. He remained with this company for almost 3 years and was responsible for Production and Manufacturing Management.
With his well-developed skill set, Abrar Hasan was invited to join National Foods in 1993 as the Plant Director, a position he held for 4 years. After which, he was given charge of Deputy Managing Director and in year 2000, Abrar Hasan was appointed by the Board of Directors as the Chief Executive.
His dedicated approach and inspirational leadership has taken National Foods from a simple recipe producer to a full-fledged food company today. He is the driving force behind his team of skilled professionals and has introduced innovative technology, human resource development & management and new marketing trends that have made the Company an undisputed market leader.
Besides being a visionary and giving true meaning to the young urban professional that he is, 38 years-old Abrar Hasan is an avid golf player and a loving father.

Asma Shirazi


Asma Shirazi is a journalist and Anchor  She worked with Geo TV . She also anchored Geo News Program Parliament Cafeteria .
Later Asma Shirazi join ARY News. Born in Islamabad, Asma Shirazi has a Postgraduate Degree in Political Science. Asma Shirazi started her career with the media industry in 2001. She has substantial experience as a news reporter and program anchor.

She joined SAMAA in July 2010 and since then hosts a weekend program 'Faisla Aap Ka'.
