Naheed Ansari

Naheed Ansari – needs no introduction amongst females. Cooking, presentation and home making is her forte. With several TV programs under her belt she has become a trademark of taste and fabulous cooking. Naheed Ansari has been associated with Dalda for almost a decade and her experience in cooking and presentation has made are immensely popular among fans in Pakistan and overseas.
One of the secret ingredients to the phenomenal success of TV star chef Naheed Ansari is the little dash of imperfection she adds to most everything she cooks. Naheed Ansari offers recipes and tips to everyday cooks, many of whom are rushing home to prepare no-frill meals for spouses and hungry children. If her popularity is any indication, Naheed’s quick recipes, laid back smile and warm personality and enthusiasm have struck a chord with younger women and stay home moms. Although she has been known as “super chef," Naheed has no formal training as a chef. Instead, she learned to cook at home when living in Dubai in the 80’s by reading cook books and experimenting her own twist to dishes. Her recipes use ingredients found in the typical grocery store, and she steers clear of dishes requiring special foods or equipment.
Naheed’s cooking philosophy is simple: Enjoy it!
"My cooking passion comes from my mother," she says. "She is an amazing cook. I don’t know if she could do everything in 30 minutes or not, but she cooks the traditional way and everything is grinded and done by hand and definitely tastes great, and she knows every dish. “
Naheed mentioned “It’s my job to teach people and appeal to all different lifestyles and age groups."The recipes I write are not always for my own taste," she says.
