Kazi Asad Abid

Kazi Asad Abid son of  Kazi Abdul Majeed Abid was born in Hyderabad, Sindh. He graduated In Business Administration In USA. Had practical courses In modern journalism and finally took over management as well as editorial responsibilities of the most popular, influential and widely acclaimed regional daily newspaper of Pakistan viz. THE DAILY IBRAT, which is being regularly published In Sindhi language since 1958, under the banners of Ibrat Group of Publications, Situated In Hyderabad, Sindh, which also publishes four other publications of different periodicities namely the Fortnightly Ibrat Magazine, Daily Sindhu, Weekly Sindhu Digest and Monthly Hazar Dastan. IBRAT has the distinction of having built up relationship beyond the borders of Sindh and Pakistan, In Middle East, India. Hong Kong and Western countries having Sindhi speaking expatriates and also through the internet :www.dailylbrat.com. 
He is an active participant In social educational and cultural activities and was also bestowed with the honor of the great civilian award by the Government of Pakistan “Sitara-e-Imtiaz”. He has been member of the Standing Committee (Permanent), and Secretary General of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) 1990-91/1991-92. He served APNS as member of the Executive Committee 1996-98-99 & Vice President (1992-93), Honorary General Secretary (1987-88-1988-89, 1993-94, 1994-95 & March 1996 Sept. 1996) and 2001, 2003 also served as Secretary General of APNS for 2005 2006 and re-elected Secretary General for the year 2006 2007. He was member of the Executive Committee 2007, 2008. He took active part in social, educational and cultural activities and remained an active member of the Hyderabad Educational Society; founder member Center for Development and Democracy (C.D.D.). He is a member of Board of Governors, Press Institute of Pakistan (PIP). President, Pakistan Culture Forum, Sindh Chapter, member Board of Studies in Mass Communication, University of Sindh, member, Pakistan Institute of National Affairs (PINA), Hyderabad, member Executive Committee, Pakistan Cultural Council.
